This grant seeks applications from organizations that can build and scale advanced manufacturing training programs in collaboration with an industry partner. Effective proposals will prepare students for high-demand career opportunities in manufacturing in Massachusetts.
Projects will focus on providing training and services to unemployed and underemployed individuals including veterans and underrepresented populations including women and minorities. An unemployed individual is defined as an individual who is not currently employed at the time of enrollment in the program. An underemployed individual is defined as an individual who is earning less than 60% of the Median Household Income (also referred to as Area Median Income) for the Workforce Area in which they reside.
