The Second Chance Act Addressing the Needs of Incarcerated Parents and Their Minor Children program provides funding to support agencies and service providers to partner to implement and expand services that address the needs of incarcerated parents and their minor children (younger than 18); provide transitional reentry services for incarcerated parents that are proven to reduce recidivism; and provide corrections officers with expanded trauma informed training that will enhance officers’ self protection and ensure the physical and emotional safety of visiting children and families.
This webinar will provide a general overview of the program, the goals and objectives, a discussion about the application process, and a Q&A opportunity for participants.
