The Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) and the Department of Fire Services (DFS) announced availability of grant funding in State Fiscal Year 2024 for fire departments in every city, town, fire district, and eligible state authority fire departments of the Commonwealth for the purchase of firefighter safety equipment.
The goal of the program is to provide fire departments with the necessary personal protective and safety equipment to be in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Each fire department may apply for an amount of funding up to the maximum amounts based on the size of the population that they serve.
