The Department of Higher Education, in consultation with the Department of Mental Health, is pleased to offer this Behavioral Health grant program. The intended purpose of this grant program is twofold:
- Promote immediate Workforce Training responses in critical and actionable areas of need.
- Launch a broader Landscape Assessment of systemic capabilities, capacities and gaps in mental and behavioral health education and training to describe a framework for workforce planning.
The DHE anticipates awarding $400,000 for a range of 2 to 8 individual or consortium grants (ranging from ($50,000 – $200,000) to Massachusetts Community Colleges and their Healthcare Provider partner(s) for Workforce Training projects.
