Funds under this program must be used to implement education, training, or other programming that enables men and youth to serve as allies in the prevention of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Applicants must ensure that proposed projects support only local, community-specific strategies. The applicant and its project partners must be based in the project’s service area. Grant funds may not be used to conduct or support regional or statewide activities or projects.
All applicants for the EM Program must partner with: 1) a victim service provider, if not the applicant; and 2) an organization with demonstrated experience providing support, enrichment, and/or leadership development programming that focuses on men or youth, if not the applicant. The partnerships must be clearly documented in the form of a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
