Proposals from Conservation Districts formed are sought under the authority of G.L. Chapter 21, Sections 19 through 24 for innovative partnership projects to conserve the land, soil, forests, water and related natural resources of the commonwealth including, but not limited to, conservation education, conservation demonstration projects, healthy soil incentive programs, the Mass Envirothon and other projects related to soil and water conservation.
The CDI Grant program provides funding in two ways to support programs, research, and other activities that promote the responsible stewardship of the Commonwealth’s land, forests, soil and water resources. There is the smaller Basic Grant available to support district operations and then the larger Innovative Grant to support larger project initiatives. The goal of this EEA program is to encourage development of new approaches and ideas and to spur innovation among grantees and their partnering organizations.
